The Millar’s have regularly competed in the Gold panning championships held here in Dawson and abroad in the World Goldpanning Championships!

Goldfields & Mine Tour
* GOLD FIELDS & MINE TOUR *
Includes transportation from our shop on Front Street in Dawson City giving some history of the area and explaining how mining was done during the gold rush/dredging times between 1896 - 1966. Then brings you out to where the Millar family started living and mining during the summers in 1974 and are still mining nearby today! We also bring you to where we are currently mining and explaining how we get the placer gold out of the ground. No chemicals are used in our placer gold mining process to get the gold out .
After we finish explaining and showing you how we get the gold out of the ground, we then head down to the creek and teach you how to pan for gold with a classic Klondike gold pan. Plus put any gold you find in your own vial to take home with you!
Tour is to provide the MOST comprehensive Klondike Gold Rush experience available in Dawson City.
Duration of the tour is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours

Family lives on-site or nearby (within 1 km) during the season, so there will be someone about to show you around and ensure you’re settled in.

Facilities
Cabins come equipped with everything you will need for your stay except groceries, ice and personal items.
We have a hot water shower house for our guests to use and the “facilities” are outhouses. We don’t run the generator often but we will do our best to charge your small electronic devices in case needed…
Each 12 x 14 cabin has its own wood stove (one with propane heat), a camp stove and BBQ, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, bedding, towels, basic kitchen supplies (salt/pepper, coffee/tea, sugar/whitener), lanterns, a campfire pit, a picnic table, chairs, porch, rain barrel, and camp coolers. Please remember to bring ice!

Highbanking
High Banking Is UNAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME

Over the years we’ve been asked if there is anywhere to set-up a high banker or mini sluice and we’ve heard your pleas. We have 69 placer gold claims along Goldbottom and Hunker creeks. This activity is intended for the more serious “hobby” miner and we have restrictions as to what we consider a “hobby” miner. Remember that it’s not finding the gold, it’s seeking the gold! We promise the setting is awesome, the adventure is real and the gold is a glorious bonus! Cabins are available for rent if you wish to extend your Gold Seeking Adventure.
High Banking: $200 / Highbanker / Day
